Mineski set to represent Philippines at WCG Asian Championships

The Philippine qualifiers for the World Cyber Games Asian Championships was hosted at the Mineski Cyber Cafe during the weekend of August 4th to 5th. Mineski.Powercolor have qualified to represent Philippines at the finals of the World Cyber Games Asian Championships, set to be held in Malaysia later this year.

Mineski.Powercolor was called to stand in for Mineski.HyperX (the organization's official Dota 2 team) with the absence of core players Mr. Swish and Lutan who were overseas in the United States.

Twenty five teams participated in the group stages where Mineski faced up against a seemingly unknown Group A - they later emerged top of the group with six wins and zero losses. Eight teams later went on the play in the best of one single elimination playoffs bracket.

Mineski.Powercolor later won over Coercebin in the finals but it was a much closer affair that one would expect. The best of three grand finals was dragged to a third and deciding match where Mineski eventually pulled through with a 'standard pick' with Bimbo on the Queen of Pain.

The regional finals will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center from 8th to 9th September in Malaysia.
