Taipei sister teams give us a repeat of GPL Winter finals

The Snipers and the Assassins duked it out on the rift in a close five-game set that ended in a blind pick match with two Kha'Zix and Twitch picks each.

The first game started off in favor of the assassins with Bebe's Draven picking up kills.  As the game continued, however, the globals on Zonda and Winds prevented TPA from having a numbers advantage in any fight, and the Snipers found the lead.  GoDJJ and his team could then corral TPA into tight confines like Baron pit and decimate them with Spray and Pray, giving TPS the first victory.

The early game went in TPA's favor both in terms of the lane swap netting them the first tower and a winning 4v4 fight near the bottom of the map.  TPS managed to close the kill gap, but TPA stayed ahead in towers and dragons largely due to the high mobility offered by the Sivir and Karma combination, which allowed them to out-rotate.  TPA then converted this lead into consistent late game team fight victories to even the score.

The game's action began with a red buff invade by TPA that gave both teams two kills.  GoDJJ and Awei then instigated a lane swap.  As a result, Jay's deadly Thresh couldn't find hooks until mid game dragon fights.  At that point, he and Achie's Lee Sin controlled the game, singling out members of TPS for the kill.  When they joined forces with Morning's Gragas, who was able to disrupt TPS for easy picks, TPA racked up the kills and took the game.

The fourth game had much less action than the first three.  Once TPS picked up a lead at Dragon, they chose to avoid confrontation with Karma's speed utility and instead rely on poke from Nidalee to force TPA away from objectives.  This allowed them to pick up six turrets in twenty five minutes, and even when Winds got caught, GoDJJ and Awei could trade an inhibitor for Baron.

With their buff, the Assassins did managed to close the gold gap, but TPS waited out the Baron without losing ground and then were able to abuse the exposed inhibitor to take a fight and the game.

In the fifth game, both teams chose their compositions in blind pick.  Both, perhaps counterintuitively, favored Twitch on AD carry and Kha'Zix in the jungle.  Though Awei's Annie gave GoDJJ more control in a counterpick situation, DinTer's proactive ganks gave bebe the lane advantage.  DinTer also proved more effective in early dragon control, and TPA took an early lead.

In team phase, TPA's composition was executed better with protective forces in place to prop up bebe and DinTer while Achie scattered their targets.  TPA found the blind pick advantage and advanced to the 2014 GPL Spring Finals.
