It was reported today that NaJin Shield's jungler MOKUZA will retire from professional League. Shield further lose Hoon and Bang, who'll go on to search for another team.
MOKUZA was hospitalized in late January to fight "a serious medical condition", undergoing heavy blood pack transfusions. Although Fomos report that MOKUZA's illness has gone into remission, he will still need active hemodialysis after discharge, essentially making the life of professional player impossible. Former MVP Blue jungler NoFe will transfer in to take the jungle role.
AP carry Hoon and AD carry Bang are also off the team to look out for new home. New players will be tested to fill the roles of AD and AP but meanwhile Shield will have to fight another problem of potentially losing their seed for OGN The Champions offline qualifiers as only two players that won the seed now remain. Because of the nature of MOKUZA's case, however, discussions are under way between OGN and Riot games towards NaJin Shield's seed.
GosuGamers sources further say that Najin Shield are not the only team with major roster swaps. With the transfer of NoFe to Shield, the confirmed departure of Hermes (announced by NoFe on Inven broadcast on January 25th), both of whom played their last match with MVP on January 29th, and the rumored leave of two more players, MVP Blue are looking forward to a total overhaul and have launched an open test to recruit players. Additionally, IEM Cologne winners SK Telecom T1 are said to have initiated a closed test, scouting for a potential B-Team, while AHQ, a Taiwanese-based team, is looking to open a Korean division of its own.
