Today's qualifier games were comparatively packed with excitement as a world championship would be.
Most surprisingly,
GIANTS! displayed an awesome set of games today. Not only did they defeat Fnatic convincingly, but they very safely defeated most of the rest of their group as well. Although Anexis and Alternate got knocked out in Group A, Alternate was almost the final nail in the coffin for Fnatic, only barely losing their game to them in the group stage.
Group B was a major upset considering LoLPro (Formerly Curse EU) were the
very first to drop out of the tournament which was completely unsuspected. They along with Acer dropped from the group with Shushei's new team
Dragonborn and
Millenium advancing.
Group C went as expected with former Season 1 runner-up for champion
Against All Authority and
Copenhagen Wolves advancing, of which who did quite well at the most recent DreamHack event.
Group D also went as suspected with
Meet Your Makers dominating through the group, growing more solid with each tournament and living up to their legendary and archaic name.
Mousesports had a similar story and also made it through.
It was a very nail-biting day with games rivaling the intensity of a real championship, so don't forget to tune in tomorrow to these teams who remain standing.
