Just yesterday, the last team on the American roster got eliminated, but not without a fight.

Take me to the coverage hub

With an unfortunate turn of events, Team Solomid has left the building, leaving no remaining North American teams left in the World Championships. Earlier this weekend, Counter Logic Gaming NA and Team Dignitas were decisively defeated in the group stages, leaving SoloMid in the playoffs.

In Game 1, Reginald on Karthus picks up early kills on bottom in a very heated and close duel between the bottom lanes. Unfortunately on the flip side of things, Shy was handling Dyrus phenomenally, taking his presence out of the game.

The poke was so strong that Shy on Jayce rushed a quick mana manip to enhance the poke. TSM sneaked a baron, but traded it for inhibs which snowballed the game.

In Game 2, TSM was ahead again by taking Skarner's blue and setting Chaox ahead, but they just couldn't keep the lead. Taking top in 5 minutes, they lost at every other point of the game due to superior team comp and strategy. Azubu Frost takes game 2 and moves on.

"Congratulations to Azubu frost, I wish the best of luck to you guys to make it to the grand finals." -Dyrus

Humbly defeated, TSM will go on to be even more successful come season 3. As Alex Ich said, most American teams don't come to events to win, but to put on a show. TSM sets themselves apart with a tough and dedicated practice regime and we're hoping to see. what's in store.

Azubu Frost moves on to the semi-finals looking like one of the toughest, if not THE toughest team in the tournament. Will CLG.EU or M5 halt the asian overlords from taking over yet another e-sport? Only time will tell.
