DreamHack Winter 2010 with €20,000 tournament

The world's biggest LAN, DreamHack, will feature a StarCraft 2 tournament with an approximate €20,000 Euro tournament. Players can qualify on-site, online, via international qualifiers and the top players can even get a direct invite.

In what will be called the DreamHack SteelSeries LAN-tournament, 32 players will come together in a playoff stage at the LAN festival. 15 players will receive a direct invitation, 9 will qualify through DreamHack On Tour qualifiers and 8 at a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) qualifier on-site.

In what is the largest single pay-out to a winning individual in the history of E-sports at DreamHack, the winner of the tournament will alone grab 100,000 SEK, equivalent of €10,682 Euro. The tournament is sponsored by SteelSeries, Sapphire and Eizo.

The renowned commentator and competitive StarCraft playerSean "Day9" Plott will be brought in to provide commentary from the tournament. The announcement on DreamHack also reveal plans of Day9 producing his very much popular show Day9 Daily on spot.

DreamHack is taking place at Jönköping, Sweden on November 25 to 28.
