Orange's HoN Team Moves to Dota 2 Under New Sponsor

Orange Esports has released their successful Heroes of Newerth team after they were poached by a new sponsor, who wishes them to move to Dota 2.

In a recent post on their Facebook page, Orange have confirmed the departure of their highly successful Heroes of Newerth team that had dominated the South East Asian region since their formation. However, with the gradual dying out of the HoN scene, it is not surprising that the promising team had been snapped up by a new sponsor to endeavour in greener pastures.

It is interesting to note that the team had already been playing in many Dota 2 tournaments under different banners - hontrashplayer for MUFC, Mr. Ghost for Invasion and Shui Yu for multiple teams. As such, they had only been playing HoN part time, and possibly preparing for the move to this new team.

After 2 years fantastic fun in the Heroes of Newerth (HoN) South East Asia competitive gaming scene, Orange Esports will be releasing its most accomplished HoN Professional Gaming Team. The team won the RM300k (USD90k) 2012 Malaysian Hon National Championship; scored a clean 60-0 Bo2 in the 2013 4-cycles Garena SEA HoN Tour; The team also competed in 3 Dreamhack HoN Championship in Jonkoping Sweden with the best 4th place finish in 2012.

Wishing Shui Yu, Mr. Ghost, Kiddo, Endkindler and Hontrashplayer the best in the final 4 HoNSEA playoff and future endeavor.

New Sponsor Mr. Alan from App** team promised to convert them to become competitive DotA2 players which we strongly objected. Good luck boys! Fnatic wanna be

Many thanks to Orange Esports sponsors - Razer, Asus, Kingston, Western Digital and BenQ for their relentless supports. Orange Esports will henceforth pool its resources to focus on DotA2 and CSGO team in 2014.
