Sad news for the HoN scene today as One Trick Pony shuts down as a team. The individual players just were not on the same page anymore after a disastrous struggle in the sixth Cycle of Diamond competition and no set roster. All tfour members will look to join other squads, as it stands right now.
The successful story of the team started back in the HoN Tour Qualifier way before DreamHack Winter 2012 kicked off. One Trick Pony played themselves through the entire bracket, securing a Diamond Division spot right away. Good placements followed as they were always keeping matches close against big competitors and win against the smaller ones. The team never even came close to a demotion throughout their long stint in Diamond, until they tried to change their roster.

I would say the reason why we will part away is because we weren't on the same page. hell broke loose when Streufutter decided to leave because then we just dropped the motivation but we tried our best to find a 5th guy that is just like Streu. But that wasn't possible we all liked LezzQQ but the synergy wasn't there and people didnt wanna play anymore. i think that the rest of the players will try to find there "new home". Im gonna try to join a team, or try to make my own but its gonna be really hard because loads of teams alrdy have their stable rooster. But I'm gonna try to do something in competetive and hope for the best. The time i will remember most is probably when we picked up the Chipper in all of our games in Cycle 5 (when he wasn't banned ofc.) and hearing Xibbe whine of getting that hero blind banned. Fuzi playing that SWAGMUS. Znoowys imba Aluna (Sniping people like it was easy) I really hope that someone will pick up the players because all of them are so good in their own role. Shoutout to Fuzi , Xibbe , Znoowy , Streufutter , Archisbitch , Coolkille99 and ofc the commiunty for being so possitive about our crazy picks and thanks for the support from everyone in the commiunty also. And i can not forget shoutout to LezzQQ for playing with us.

The biggest success for the team, the third place finish in the fifth Cycle of the Diamond Division and their Championship in the CIS Showmatch tournament against European and CIS opponents were followed by a big downfall just a week later. First they were all the rave with the veteran Tralfamadore joining the squad, as the German Streufutter had to leave the team due to time constraints.
That pick up backfired big time as they lost the first match of that Cycle right away, triggering Tralfalmadore to quit the team before the night was officially over. One Trick Pony's future in Diamond was hanging by a thread, until Tralfalmadore decided to at least finish the started cycle with the team.
After that incident Znoowy released his statement on the HoN Forums elaborating the entire situation, hinting a deep frustration that might cause the team to disband after all. That hint now becomes reality as One Trick Pony will cease to exist as a team and will therefor stop the operation of their Diamond Division team. That leaves a void in the elite Division of HoN Tour after all, with OTP being the seventh ranked team in the standings right now. The seventh Cycle will kick them out of Diamond and other teams can once again dream of a Top 11 finish to keep the chances to travel to the Offline Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada alive.
