Cattlepillar is reportedly replacing Arthelon for Cloud9 which would make for their first roster change since January.
In a move originally reported by Faye on her Twitch channel, Cattlepillar will be the newest member of Cloud9, replacing Arthelon who has been with the team since January. Arthelon was originally with Bob Ross Fan Club (now Naventic) when he went to Cloud9 before the first LAN tournament this year Heroes Rising.
The Cloud9 roster with Arthelon originally had great tournament success, competing in the Spring Global Championship in Korea, but they've struggled since then. They were one of the last teams to qualify for DreamHack: Austin and lost in the finale to Naventic. They have also yet to qualify for the second NA Summer Regional in California, which is their last shot at making it to the Summer Global Championship at DreamHack Summer.
Cattlepillar is a strong warrior from Brain Power (formerly COGnitive Gaming) who is known for his drafting and shotcalling, a dedicated role that Cloud9 lacked. It's not certain that Cattle will be the designated shotcaller and drafter, but this is a position that Cloud9 is in need of. While Cloud9 already has a warrior, KingCaffeine, Cattlepillar can play a number of roles.
Brain Power qualified for the second NA regional in the first qualifier and now need to finalize their roster going in. It's not confirmed yet whether Arthelon left or was removed but either way the team is trying to shake things up in light of their recent performance.
