I've felt it when playing as and against Li-Ming, The community felt it, and now, Dustin Browder seems to be feeling it as well:
Much like the lore associated with legendary item this talent is named after, Ess of Johan talent makes enemies feel like they have been "led into a trap" with no real chance of surviving. This unassuming talent doesn't even improve any of Li-Ming's damage, yet it is quickly become the most important tool at her disposal.
For it's power level, Ess of Johan shouldn't be a level 4 talent. Li-Ming is capable of dangerously high levels of damage and she is the perfect example of an over-tuned character made balanced by difficult to hit skill shots and a low HP. However, Ess of Johan largely negates that first part. Once Li-Ming hits level 4, she doesn't have to worry about carefully aiming her spells thanks to Ess of Johan. As long as Arcane Orb hits, the following Magic Missiles are sure to hit as well thanks to the pull back Ess of Johan provides. This type of consistent, almost unavoidable combo get's even more oppressive once Li-Ming has access to Disintegrate at level 10.
And, as Dustin Browder mentioned, this talent does step all over Wave of Force. Get in the easy skills shots while you can, as this talent will surely be changed sooner rather than later.
