Firebat to play for Tempo Storm at RedBull’s Team Brawl

The former world champion will go against his former team as part of their main rivals’ line-up.

The drama around the Firebat/Archon split is far from over. Just a day after the highest winning player in Hearthstone parted ways with his team amidst allegations of being owed salary payments, it was announced that he will side with Tempo Storm for the upcoming Team Brawl.

By doing that, Firebat joins – even if temporarily – the ranks of Archon’s biggest rivals. The two teams have had a long and multi-layered history between them, both in and outside the game, earning them a nomination for “Rivalry of the year” in the 2015 GosuAwards. The 2014 world champion will play alongside Johnnie “Ratsmah” Lee and Haiyun “Eloise” Tang in the first ever team sealed tournament in Hearthstone and will go against not just his former team-mates but also Cloud 9 and Team Liquid. Meanwhile, Firebat’s empty spot in Archon will be filled by young prodigy William “Amnesiac” Barton.

The less than amicable split was seasoned even more last night when Archon’s Jason “Amaz” Chan and Brent “Backspace” Kaskel issued a vlog explaining their side of the story and defending themselves against Firebat’s “attack on their company” in the public domain.

Full coverage of the RedBull Team Brawl will be provided on our coverage hub here.
