The Priest class is usually synonymous with Jason “Amaz” Chan but players like Petar “Gaara” Stevanovic have also favored it for a long time. Here, the Tempo Storm player tries to find a place for [card]Chromaggus[/card] in a post-BRM build.
What we have below isn’t something we’ve never seen before. Gaara uses the standard skeleton of Priest builds, running early, mid-game and late-game removal with cards like [card]Wild Pyromancer[/card], [card]Auchenai Soulpriest[/card] and [card]Lightbomb[/card] to keep the minion decks in check. Minion-manipulators [card]Recombobulator[/card] and [card]Shrinkmeister[/card] offer additional stealing powers, supporting the [card]Shadow Madness[/card] and the double [card]Cabal Shadow Priest[/card].
Towards the end of the curve, Gaara has made space for [card]Chromaggus[/card]. Even though the two-headed dragon doesn’t work with [card]Thoughtsteal[/card], for example, it’s a BGH-safe threat that’s perfect for control-oriented decks. And with all the removal power in it, this Priest definitely has all the tools to survive until the end-game.
