With the help of Valeera and her weapon oils, Neirea absolutely crushed through Max int he eighth  edition of the Deck Wars series and joins the main event clique.
Rogue has been on the rise in both tournaments and on the ladder. Not only did it shine in open tournaments like GosuCup SEA where the last two champions had the class in their line-up, but it was also used by Hearthstone powerhouses like Reynad and Firebat in the recent Battle of the Best #3. Additionally, the Oil Rogue being a relatively quick and explosive deck numerous players used it to crush the ladder, notably Neirea, Kolento and Xolpher.
Last night, it was Liquid's Yevgeniy "Neirea" Shumilin himself who used to deck to great effect to deliver quick death to Method's Max "Max" Simpson. The two went head to head for one of the spots in the Deck Wars main event and while Max took the early lead, beating Neirea's Mage with his Hunter, he couldn't withstand the burst of Ukrainian's Rogue. Except for the on-the-edge Rogue mirror, Neirea's victories were decisive, making for a one-sided series.
With this, the third season of Deck Wars is halfway done as eight of the preliminary showmatches have been played as Neirea joins a clique of players which has names like James "Firebat" Kostesich, Jan "Faramir" Engelmann, Thijs "ThijsNL" Molendijk and others.
