Arguably the best western players at BlizzCon will have to share the same group at the world championship pre-show at the end of October. The rest of the groups have also been drawn and the tournament will begin October 31st.
One week and some change are left until the BlizzCon World Championship officially begins. The groups are now drawn and the players know their first stage opponents.
Each group has exactly one representative of each of the four regions - Europe, North America, China and Korea/Taiwan. And while most of the groups are fairly balanced, one cannot help but notice the heavily stacked Group D, shaping up as the pool of death for the next weekend.
The two reasons for that are called StrifeCro and Kolento, two of the hottest players in the entire Hearthstone and the heavy favorites for the worlds grand final. After crushing Viagame's HouseCup, Kolento is currently ranked #1 in the world on the GosuRankings, and StrifeCro, albeit not having the best of weeks, ist still #3 in North America and top #15 in the world. They will share a group with RunAndGun as well, one of China's strongest players as well as Taiwan's second seed FrozenIce.
Group B also looks stacked but in Asia's favor, featuring China's #2 ranked player Nicolas and Korea's #2 RenieHour. The Asians will have to fight through Tarei and Kaor from the West if they're to advance forward.Â
