Today, the very well-known online gaming league known as CAL has announced that Starcraft will be added. This may come as quite a surprise to some that considered CAL to be only focused on FPS games.
The famous league known as ยป Cyberathlete Amateur League (sister-organization to Cyberathlete Professional League - CPL) just announced two new games that will be added along with one game returning. Little did we know that CAL had any interest in Starcraft at all, but we were wrong. Recently, many teams have decided to withdraw from CAL to focus on other leagues with greater rewards. Perhaps, this move was made to help give a boost to the competition in the league. Here's an excerpt from the official newspost:
"The Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL) announced today that it intends to open up a series of new divisions this year start with two new games and the return of an old favorite. Making appearances soon will be: Lord of the Rings - Battle for Middle Earth, Starcraft and returning to the league will be Unreal Tournament 2004."This is some very exciting news for the community and we will be sure to bring you more details when they are released.
