Caydiem leaving CM position.

[s]wow[/s]

Long time Community Manager, Caydiem, is leaving her position and apparently moving up in Blizzard. She was nice to leave a fairly long goodbye post on the forums as she will be far away from the public eye now.

I was able to meet Caydiem at BlizzCon and she was a fairly nice individual and was nice enough to even sign my World of WarCraft Atlus. She will be remembered by some as a very strict CM but by others (especially the druid class I'm sure) as a great asset to the community.

Here is her post in it's entirety:

When the game was still in beta, a fresh-faced Community Manager arrived on the World of Warcraft scene shortly after Tyren and just before Ordinn. That day, I adopted the name Caydiem, and began what has been quite the journey.

A smile appears on my face anytime anyone mentions the end of beta event. Every time I play my Druid, I’m reminded – fondly – that it was the Druid community, their concerns and questions, that brought me to the class in the first place. During the casual vs. hardcore debate, I was raiding on a strict schedule with one guild and playing in a casual manner on an entirely different character. The community has not only been a natural part of my work day, but an integral part of my leisure time, as well; I love this game, and with it the many people that populate the worlds in which I play.

It is with a heavy heart, therefore, that I bear the news that I am leaving the Community Team. I am still remaining a part of the Blizzard family, but my position will be somewhat away from the public light. I’ll still be playing the game, of course, and I’m sure I’ll still read the forums from time to time. You can’t get rid of me that easily. ;)

Thank you all for the engaging discussion and fun throughout my time here. Best of luck in the future!

It is a little sad to see her move on but I'm sure the great responsibility in being a CM really took its toll on her and when she was offered an opertunity to be involved with the game in a different capasity she took it. I don't really blame her as the WoW forums in general are very, very immature and childish and I don't see how any person can keep sane in that capacity.

In closing, best of luck to you Caydiem and maybe we will see you next year at BlizzCon! Best of luck in all you do from us here at GosuGamers!
