The Ukrainian e-Sports organization have just announced their expansion into StarCraft II, recruiting and presenting their five new players. Among the two Zerg, two Protoss and one Terran specialists is the famous DotA player Jon 'BabyKnight' Andersen, who reached the final of the 50th Zotac SC2 Cup, last week.
The addition of StarCraft II has long been planned, and marks Na`Vi's second single-player game after FIFA, besides their DotA and Counterstrike 1.6 teams, whose quickly ascended to highly competitive levels, to win titles and compete with the best of their peers. Applying these standards to the new StarCraft II team seems significantly harder, as not much is known about the players.
Natus Vincere Starcraft 2 Roster:
Denis "Hireling" Shubkovskiy (teamleader)
Svyatoslav "HappyZerg" Vlasyuk
Aleksander "Alf" Yatsenko
Vasiliy "CrazyPanda" Kuznetsov
Jon "BabyKnight" Andersen
Besides BabyKnight's success in DotA and Happyzerg's competitive background in teams such as Thermaltake and Rox.KIS, all the players are labeled as young, self-confident and motivated talents, who are set to rise to a new level within the professional environment. Statements from Hireling, Alf and Crazypanda can be read at the source link.
This also marks the first time in the history of the organization that non-Ukrainian players get to wear the tag of Natus Vincere (lat.: born for victory), a team which has - unintended or not - always conveyed a seemingly high sense of nationality and solidarity.
It remains to be seen how BabyKnight's DotA career will be affected by his official engagement with one of the most successful gaming projects of recent times. Until today, the Dane's commitment to both games was visible at all times, such as in his battle against jimpo in last week's StarCraft II Zotac Cup, and in challenging GGnet in the ROCCAT DotA GosuCup Semi Finals yesterday.
BabyKnight's and his team-mates' results can be followed at the team homepage navi-gaming.com.
