ASUS Spring steps up broadcasting service

The ASUS tournaments hold the title of the most frequently and consistently hosted offline events for DotA in Europe, throughout the last years. Two days before the spring edition of 2011 goes down, the administration can announce improvements in several aspects regarding the tournament.

The first obvious change marks an enlargement of the monetary prizes from 100.000 to 150.000 rubles (~$5.300), besides hardware from the official sponsors ASUS, Intel and ROCCAT.

In comparison to previous events, the Kiev eSport Arena, including frontstage and screen wall is booked for DotA alone at Sunday, as the ASUS Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament will be played one day before; a very pleasant improvement for visitors at the venue.

Audiences at home have no reason to cut back however, as they are affected by the major upgrade in terms of broadcasting. The administration promises three simultaneously running live streams, besides a comprehensive WaaaghTV support, for everybody who wants to join in directly.

Several preferred teams have already confirmed their participation and will most likely not face each other in the groupstage. These are:
Ukraine Game Zone
Russia The Original Retry
France Virus.Dota
Russia Moscow5.Dota
Russia Int-Exl
Kazakstan Rush
Ukraine Natus Vincere

Not appearing in the list are ASUS Winter runner up PR and fourth place finisher ToM, who declined the invitation last month already.

The DotA tournament will start on Sunday the 29th of May after all teams have checked in successfully. The ASUS Spring 2011 will be covered by GosuGamers and the official media partner of the tournament, prodota.ru.
