The Korean trio did not falter in the initial round, as they all three go to the next round of the group stage undefeated.

The Korean Protoss player KaL could in a very interesting game basetrade with the Chinese Protoss Legend whereas both players rushed to each opponent's main base with their dragoon (yes, they actually exist in StarCraft!).

This forced both players to each build up a new base, which was where KaL showed why he is the lead Protoss in STX SouL and not Legend. By controlling the expansions and locking Legend inside of his base while harassing the mineral line with two dark templars, KaL could evidently gain an enough advantage to force a type-out from Legend.

Jaedong eliminated the Japanese player kurOa on Destination. The match was not broadcasted or shown anywhere, but sources to GosuGamers say it was an easy game for the Korean Zerg player.

Flash toyed with iNfeRnaL on Outsider by going for a one-tank two-vulture drop. With constant harass and pressure from Flash, the somewhat well performed defense was not enough from the German's side as Flash constantly moved from the natural to the main, popping mines down and harassing. After a front door drop with two tanks and three vultues, iNferNaL sees his dragoons go down due to mines and siege tank shots and typed out.
