Chinese Dota 2 league formed

The Chinese Dota2 Professional Association (CDA) has been established by eight teams.

The Coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc on Dota 2 and esports events overall —and there are no signs of the widespread impact slowing down or stopping in the near future. ESL One Los Angeles Major was postponed, EPICENTER Major and DotaPit Minor had been canceled by Valve and other events were moved or put on hold

So what to do when things come to a grinding halt? Make your own league to continue some competitive spirit and keep in shape.

That's exactly what eight teams in China have done.

The entire season will be held online to adhere to all health and safety standards for social distancing and isolation recommended in regard to the virus.

CDA teams:

China EHOME
China Invictus Gaming
China Team Aster
China Royal Never Give Up
China Vici Gaming

China Keen Gaming
China Newbee
China PSG.LGD

It can be assumed that the league will begin shortly, but details, such as the tournament format system, bonus system, and streaming URL will be announced later.

Meanwhile, fans can tune in to watch Rivalry's South American regional event already underway until March 22nd and WePlay!'s new event; WeSave! Charity Play beginning on Friday, March 20th.
