WePlay! To the rescue; WeSave! Charity Play

WePlay! is running an online event featuring seven top teams from around the world March 20-26th.

The folks at WePlay! are at it again with another event promising to deliver big results. This time, they will be delivering over $120,000 to charities in an effort to fight Coronavirus.

The Coronavirus pandemic has done a number on Dota 2 and esports events overall —and there are no signs of the widespread impact slowing down or stopping in the near future. With ESL One Los Angeles Major being postponed, EPICENTER Major and DotaPit Minor being canceled by Valve and other events being moved or put on hold, WePlay! is looking to not just fill that space, but also do something constructive with it.

24 teams will be competing — four teams per each of the six regions —for the $20,000 prize pool for their respective region. The prize, plus donations from sponsors and viewers, will then be donated to charity.

The event will take place between March 20-26th, held exclusively online.
