Two teams have made moves before participating in WePlay! Bukovel Minor next month at the cost of losing DPC points.
In the weeks heading into the WePlay! Bukovel Minor where teams should be getting ready to train their hardest, some teams are making big changes to their lineups.
In the last week or so, both Geek Fam and NiP have reported changes in their rosters, kicking one player each and picking up a replacement immediately.
Geek Fam has replaced Eric 'Ryoya' Dong with another SEA player Karl "Karl" Jayme while NiP picked up a UK player named Jason "TANNER" Weedon in place of Oliver "oliver" Lepko. TANNER will take over mid-lane while Nico 'Gunnar' Lopez will move to carry position.
Both of these teams will receive significant penalties for changing their roster after qualifying for a DPC event.
Can a team remove a player after qualifying to a tournament? NEW
Yes. However, a team that removes a player after securing a slot at a minor or a major, will have a 20% deduction to the points obtained during that event in addition to the normal penalty.
Note: the normal penalty is that any team that plays the LAN portion of a tournament with a sub (or another player that was not registered with the team at the time of the qualifiers) will incur a 40% penalty on points earned from that tournament.
