IEF 2006: WE.IGE.Sky takes the victory

The finals of the IEF China-Korea Tournament are played and WE.IGE.Sky managed to take the title by beating Gostop in the Grand Final. Curious how Sky made it to the final or when your favourite player got eliminated, read on.

South Korea Tournament is hosted on a regular basis once a year. This year it took place in

Shanghai, China and started just yesterday. When having a look at the player list, it becomes very obvious that many of the world's best gamers are gathered to fight for the title. 16 players, eight from South Korea and eight from China, are divided into four groups with each nationality listed twice. After playing everyone from the group once, the players ranked #1 and #2 advance to the quarter finals. Here are the groups and results:

Five Korean and three Chinese players managed to advance to the Quarter Finals. Best out of three is the modus, whoever loses the bo3 is out. After finishing the Quarter Finals, four players will meet in the Semi Final.
