Along with Team Romania, Team Germany and Team Finland secured tickets for the 1.5 M dollars WESG final act from March 2018.
Group A concluded close to midnight in Barcelona, Spain and team Romania is the only team, so far, to finish the group stage with a perfect 4-0 score. Full of extremely talented players, some also well-known in the International professional scene, Team Romania’s biggest test was versus No Biggie, the Swedish stack featuring Era, Jonassomfan, Pablo, and Handsken. Unfortunately for the Swedish fans, this is not the year when their country will be represented with two squads at the WESG Global Grand Finals. No Biggie didn’t quite find their stride today in Barcelona and finished four in the group, which marks the end of the road for them.
On the second place in the group are the boys from Team Finland who came to Barcelona with a slightly different roster than the one they used in the National qualifiers. Nonetheless, Kalle "Trixi" Saarinen is still with the team and he will be traveling to China in March next year to represent his country at the WESG Global Grand Finals.
The third spot in the group was claimed by Team Germany, who despite having to replace Dominik "Black^" Reitmeier at the last moment, still shined in the WESG regional finals qualifiers.
Day two of the group stage will bring two Russian, two Ukrainian and two Turkish teams fighting for the top three spots in their designated groups, alongside the national teams of Poland, France, Czech Republic and the famous Greek roster from Mousesports.
