Na'Vi overpower Virtus.Pro to claim Adrenaline Cyber League LAN title

In an overwhelmingly decisive grand finals, Na'Vi defeated the CIS juggernauts, Virtus.Pro 3:1 to claim the Adrenaline Cyber League LAN title.

At Stadium Live in Moscow, Russia an intimate LAN was taking place during the week that little outside the CIS region had heard about. Three directly invited teams and one qualified team had squared off for chief part of the $100,000 prize pool and the LAN title.

Several sets of qualifiers were open to both European and CIS teams in early October. Eight teams earned their way into the closed qualifiers that saw eight of the most prominent teams from both regions invited. After two weeks of intense battles between all sixteen teams, it was Team Empire that would emerge victorious and head to their place in the LAN event.

Virtus.Pro and Na'Vi were directly invited, along with Mousesports - the only European representation.

Over the course of two days, the four teams duked it out in a single elimination bracket that saw Na'Vi topple over Mousesports 2:0 and Virtus.Pro knock out Team Empire in a clean sweep as well. In all CIS grand finals, there was little doubt that Virtus.Pro were the favorites and would have a cakewalk for the championship prize. But Na'Vi's recent performances and impressive display of synergy and talent overpowered VP in the end.

While the first two matches were all Na'Vi's for the taking, the third match was a stark contrast with VP rolling over the Ukrainian team. With one win in the bag, VP were on the board and easily primed for a comeback. The fourth and ultimately final game was more of a cat and mouse series with each team looking to thwart the other's lead and shifting the lead back and forth in a relatively close contest for much of the match. In the end, it was Na'Vi that had prevailed and with their victory closed out the series in their favor.

The Adrenaline Cyber League LAN title is their first title since July 2016 when they seized the championship spot at StarLadder iLeague Star Series Season 2 after they bested Team Secret 3:1 in the grand finals.

Adrenaline Cyber League LAN Prize Distribution:

1st place - $65,000 - Na'Vi
2nd place - $25,000 - Virtus.Pro
3rd/4th place - $5,000 - Team Empire/Mousesports
