The North American qualifiers for the one million dollars DreamLeague Season 8 concluded last night with Evil Geniuses prevailing 2-0 over Complexity Gaming.
Last night, Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev made the reworked and, in many people's eyes, nerfed Tiny, a valid pick. It might not have been the easiest safe lane of his life while playing Tiny, but RTZ died just twice throughout the whole game, both times during the early laning stage, only to crush coL’s base in the late game with his bloodlusted Tiny. In game two Evil Geniuses had prepared the same Bloodlust buff but this time around for an Arteezy Luna who had her Treads completed only four (4) minutes into the game and the Hurricane Pike at the 16 minute mark.

DreamLeague Season 8 will be EG’s second Major appearance. The Boys in Blue traveled last month at the ESL ONE Hamburg Major, however, they finished on the 5th-6th place, just outside the qualifier points contention. EG have secured only a total of 90 qualifying points so far, but they haven’t been playing in all the starting minors. The points they have so far are coming from PGL Open Bucharest Minor, which is the only Minor where they chose to show up. The next Minor in the books for EG is Captains Draft, which will take place on the first week of January 2018 in Washington, DC.
On the other hand, EG have secured spots for all the first three Majors of the season. After DreamLeague Season 8, which is set to take place December 1-4 in Jönköping, Sweden, EG will be attending the Galaxy Battles II: Emerging World, scheduled for January 15-21 in Bulacan, Philippines.
