SingSing, VP and Team Empire players to play in the WESG European and CIS LAN qualifiers

World Electronic Sports Games, WESG in short, is the annual event where we get to see players like SingSing fighting for their country colors at the $1.5M event global grand finals.

Team Netherlands, featuring SingSing and SexiBamboe, won the Benelux subregion qualifiers and will be heading this November to the WESG European qualifiers finals.

Held in Barcelona, Spain November 22-26 the European qualifies finals will also host the CIS Russian and Ukrainian national qualifiers winners. So far, Ultima_Thule featuring Team Empire’s Miposhka, Vanskor and Chappie along with Antyhype featuring Virtus.Pro’s players Solo, Ramzes and 9Pasha have already secured their presence in Barcelona by winning the Russian two waves of open qualifiers.

At the end of all the national qualifiers, a total of 20 teams will be heading to Barcelona to fight for one of the 12 tickets available for the $1,500,000 WESG Global Grand Finals.

Barcelona Regional LAN Finals prize pool distribution:

1st place: $40,000
2nd place: $20,000
3rd place: $10,000
4th place: $6,500
5th/8th place: $4,000
9th/12th place: qualify to the Global Grand Finals

The last stage of WESG 2017-2018 edition will welcome 32 teams to China in March next year, eight teams more than the inaugural edition. Although there is only a male or mixed competition for the Dota 2 competition, WESG have added female only competitions for Hearthstone and CS:GO.
