The fans have spoken: Team DK and Vici Gaming are the winners of the community poll and will participate in the upcoming i-League LAN finals in September.
With six out of the eight teams having to fight their way for a spot in the i-League LAN finals taking place in Shanghai, China, the remaining two spots are decided by a community poll. Out of the ten teams in contention, Team DK and ViCi Gaming turn out to be the most popular and receive a direct invitation to the LAN finals. Even though the tournament is crowd-funded, only a total of 2,129 votes are cast.
Team DK and ViCi Gaming will get a free ticket into the i-League LAN finals while the remaining six spots will be determined by regional qualifiers. Two western teams will be able to make it into the event along with one team from South East Asia and three teams from China. The North American qualifiers will begin later today at 13:00 CEST
The tournament is highly crowd-funded with ImbaTV utilizing a Chinese kickstarter called "Modian" to increase the base prize pool of the tournament. The purchase of the $9.99 ticket also contributes $2.50 to the prize pool.
