The record of the longest game in competitive DotA2 has been broken once again in less than a week. The throne now belongs to the match between 4FC and Team Dog for FragBite Masters, lasting for a total of 125 minutes and 26 seconds.
Less than a week ago, First Departure and Everlast.Gamefilling broke the record of the longest game in competitive DotA2, with their match for the Inaugural qualifiers reaching the dazzling duration of 100 minutes and 47 seconds. However, it seems that it was time for Europe to reclaim the record once again, and 4FC with Team Dog did exactly that. Their game for the FragBite Masters tournament lasted for 125 minutes and 26 seconds, completely shattering the previous record.
Team Dog seemed to have better coordination and execution for the earlier stages of the game. Nonetheless, they were unable to breach 4FC's defenses due to the existence of Ember Spirit and Ancient Apparition in the hero line-up of the Swedish squad. Murdering thousands of innocent creeps, the two teams managed make all their heroes as fat as possible, but in the end, the teamfight advantage belonged to 4FC. With over two hours on the clock, the Radiant managed to bring down their enemies' Ancient and grab the victory. A victory that will be remembered for a while, until another pair of teams breaks the record yet again.
