Julz involved in scamming incident; XctN swaps players

Julius 'Julz' De Leon was recently involved in a scamming incident which went through his account. On an unrelated development, his team will also be experiencing changes after Execration 2 swapped players with its sister team.

His account was allegedly used by his old friend (buyer) to complete a deal involving Dota 2 items and cash. His verified Steam account was used to hold the items of the seller with him being an intermediary, or a 'middleman' as the traders would call them. The communication between the parties was cut shortly after the transfer of items have taken place. The seller, coincidentally, is part of the GosuGamers' crew.

The seller tried to reach out to Julz using social media. Upon learning that something had taken place, Julz, in poor judgment, forwarded an edited screenshot in a mixed attempt of saving his name and covering up for a friend. According to him, he did so because he felt that he will be in big trouble for not securing his account. His password was supposedly compromised because of an issue regarding identical password for all accounts.

After they were enlightened by a mediator about what happened, both parties reached a consensus. As responsibility for not keeping his account details private, Julz will be paying for the keys himself.

The guy who benefited with the keys did not return them, with the reason that the reputations destroyed cannot be returned anymore. He was claiming not to intend scamming, but was just late to reply because he was playing a LAN tournament then.

Statement from Julz (translated)

I will never lend my account anymore, not even to my closest friends. Sorry for what happened ... I won't  let my reputation be destroyed by mere keys.

Julz is a Filipino player who was seen playing under teams like MSI and Dreamz. However, he gained most of his followers while playing with Mineski, with a The International invite being one of the highlights of his careers.

On an unrelated note, Julz' team will be having a new addition as the Execration teams swapped players with each other.  Abeng ‘Abeng’ Dicdican, responsible for manning up Execration's middle-position role back in the GMPGL SEA last year, will return to the main team. Meanwhile, previous team captain Kimuel ‘Kimo’ Rodis will be joining the second team where he will be grouped up with a number of Filipino DotA veterans.

It is still unknown how these changes may potentially harm their potential The International qualifier invite. Both team had been doing well in local tournaments, each winning their respective GMPGL tournaments last month. The first team is already achieving fair results within SEA online tournaments.
