The organizers behind Electronic Sports League have revealed their intentions for Dota 2 by announcing the largest Dota 2 event to ever grace the European scene. Boasting a prize-purse of $150,000, this event is poised to go down into history as one of the most memorable tournaments.

ESL ONE will take place at the World Cup football stadium 'Commerzbank-Arena' in Frankfurt, Germany. With a maximum capacity of over 35,000, the event will also be host to eight of the best teams spread across the globe; few notable world class teams receiving direct invites whilst other teams going through a set of regional qualifiers. The qualifiers will be hosted in partnership with joinDOTA.

True to their promise, ESL has come up with a solid plan to host the Dota 2 tournament as grand as the Intel Extreme Masters; one of the most prestigious events in eSports history. The event will join the ranks of Major League Gaming, Dota 2 League season 4, Dreamleague and Starladder in the major tournaments list.

Tickets will be released in waves, with February 28th marking the first day of public sale. Fans will be able to further contribute towards the prizepool by purchasing in-game items. More information on the list of invited teams, tournament structure, prize breakdown and ticket sales, will be released in the coming weeks.
