The Staff Cup returns on the 7th May and will have a revised format. There's going to be a group stage with four teams per group and a new ruleset.
It is time again for our crew members to redeem themselves as the Staff Cup returns. A new format and new rules are going to make the tournament a lot more diverse.
The tournament is going to be a group stage with four groups of four teams. The two best teams advance into a single elimination playoff bracket, with only the final being a best-of-three.
Each match in the group stage has a different ruleset. The first game is going to be played in traitormode. The second match is a Reverse Captain's Draft and the last game will be in Limited Mode.
The playoffs will be played in normal Captain's Mode except for the finals. The finals will start with a Traitor Mode game, whereas the second one will be in the normal CM. The third one will be decided upon live.
On the 7th May at 19:00 CET, teams will start to battle each other in a fierce fight. The tournament will conclude on the 8th, also at 19:00 CET.
Traitormode:
Each team will send a traitor into the enemy team, thus playing against him. The traitor is allowed to stay in communication with his team, but feeding (dying more than 3 times) will result in him having to stay at the base.
The draft in this mode will be Random Draft and each traitor will be granted first pick. The team that gets second pick though, will have to give the traitor a 10 second advantage before picking. Disable Help is banned.
-Update-: One traitor killing the other does account for the three deaths needed to be stationed in the base.
Limited Mode:
Depending on your group, you will only be allowed to pick either only the first, second, third or fourth and fifth row of each tavern. It will remain a Captain's Draft.
Group A: 1st row
Group B: 2nd row
Group C: 3rd row
Group D: 4th+5th row

This time around, home will not be in trouble as BTS can not participate since the dates and schedule coincide with the WePlay playoffs.
