G-1 announces details and invitees for EU/NA qualifier



G-1 has announced the format for the EU/NA qualifier of their tournament. Qualifiers will be divided into two phases with no open qualifiers.

G-1 has informed Gosugamers regarding the format for the EU/NA qualifier of their tournament. The tournament will be spread into two phases.

In contrary to the Asian qualifiers, the qualifiers will not have an open category. Phase one of the tournament will begin with eight invited teams

Phase 1

Eight invited teams will play in a single elimination best-of-three format to which, the top four teams will advance into phase two.

Phase two

Four qualified teams from phase one will be facing the bigger giants of EU/NA in a best-of-three double elimination format. The top two placers will move receive free flight tickets and accommodation for the G-1 offline event in an undisclosed date later.

The EU/NA qualifiers are set to begin on the 14th of April with a six days break between the 17th and 23rd for teams to get ready for EMS One. The qualifiers will end on the 27th of April.

The brackets for the qualifiers have not been announced but G-1 assured Gosugamers that we will be the first one to know.

Schedule

April 14-15 - Phase one
April 16-17 - 2 bo3 games per day of phase two
April 23-26 - 2 bo3 games per day of phase two
April 27 - Loser bracket final of phase two
