nth victorious on second cup

nth took hold of first place on the standings after they won on EMS One Cup #2. They won $600 in the process, and improved their chances in advancing into the group stage.

No Tidehunter advanced into the Finals after defeating Re-defining Madness, while Empire qualified after VP forfeited their match due to a schedule conflict.

These 2 teams faced each other on the Bo3 finals. nth raced on to a one game lead, capitalizing on a strong start and forcing Empire to call 'gg' in just a little over 20 minutes. The second game was an action-packed battle, with nth ending on top of exchanges. One opening provided too costly for them though, as they saw their lead disappear. Empire took the second game to force the decider game.

Empire went for strong teamfights with big AOE heroes. However, they never really were able to get the skirmish that they wanted. Nth was able to seal their victory when Empire conceded before the 30-minute mark.

With that, nth improved from their third/fourth place finish last month and jumped on into a solo lead on the standings.

The finalists from Cup #1, Natus Vincere and Fnatic, sat out on this one.

The aim is point accumulation. There will be 4 cups in all per season, and teams gain points by finishing the cups in the following places:

5-8th: 25 points
9-16th: 10 points
17-24th: 5 points

After the second cup, the total points per team are:
