Game 1
ViCi experienced some problems on their aggressive trilane since they were up against a KotL. As expected, Ohy's Shadow Fiend was the hero farming away but the Lone Druid from Cty wasn't all that far behind. As soon as Nyx hit level 6, he used Vendetta to help kill Magnus three times during a short period of time. Shadow Fiend helped the ganking with his Shadow Blade and also went for the split push. MUFC got a lot of towers while ViCi didn't get any at all. That resulted in ViCi's support heroes being much poorer then MUFC's supports. Then it was time to siege the base; Shadow Fiend pressured top, Weaver bot and the rest mid. ViCi couldn't keep up with the pressure on all lanes and eventually Magnus got picked off top opening a window for MUFC to initate the clash. ViCi couldn't control the fight, especially with Magnus down (although, he did buyback but didn't get a huge ulti off). Vici's heroes went down, followed by their buildings. Game over.
It mostly boiled down to the laning, the aggressive trilane by ViCi crippled them too much, Sven got underfarmed and the supports ended up really poor especially since they couldn't push any towers. Shadow Fiend got a huge amount of farm since it's harder shutting him down with an aggressive trilane, usually you need to keep the supports in the lane otherwise that lane is lost. MUFC kept the split push and ganking up, and controlled the entire game from early on.

Game 2
ViCi first picked Anti-Mage and went Midas right off the bat, into a battlefury. It was quite easy to realize this would be the most farmed Anti-Mage ever. MUFC took the opportunity early to push out both the towers in the top lane, but ViCi didn't care - they just let Cty farm. He managed 150 creeps at minute 15 - and some gotten with Midas. At minute 31 he was forced to sell his Midas - because his inventory was full. MUFC couldn't really contest fights as they just got demolished quickly. When Ohy had his hex up though, MUFC had the potential to bring him down, but they couldn't really use it. They managed to defend their base, using March, Illuminate and Spirit Lance spam. Just before 44 minutes, Vici tried the midlane, but buybacks from both xFreedom and Ohy defended the lane. When Beastmaster caught Ohy and solo-killed him, Anti-Mage immediately bought back to push while Ohy's buyback is on cd. They got the melee rax but instead of taking down more buildings they started hunting heroes which punished them in the end and they had to fall back. At this point, the illusion-army of Lancer was really strong and Anti-Mage really struggled once he sold his Battlefury to buy Hex. In fact, he struggled so much he sold Hex once again to rebuy the Battlefury after MUFC managed to control the fights. The window seemed gone, Lancer and Tinker were too big, ViCi couldn't handle it. MUFC won a crucial fight outside ViCi's base and went on to take down the ancient. The game had turned and MUFC was the winner.
How did this happen? Anti-mage was really farmed but they couldn't seal the deal. ViCi waited too long - they should have pushed earlier and they had two shots at taking down raxes but instead opted to chase down running heroes. In the end this made them lose the fights due to Tinker's march and Lancer's might. They also focused Doom Bringer in lots of the fights instead of focusing the Tinker which might have made more sense since the Doom wasn't that crucial in the midgame. This game shows the power of Phantom Lancer and is also the first loss of Anti-Mage in this tournament.
