Due to the merger of FUBAR and eVo into Svenhunterz, a spare slot with two wins and one loss in GosuLeague's Division 2a was freed. This slot will now be given to absolute Legends, who expressed interest in working themselves up the ladder.
Before said reshuffle between the two Swedish stacks occurred, FUBAR were regulars in Division 1 for multiple seasons, while eVo had just gained a foothold in Division 2a. With the newly formed Shz carrying on FUBAR's heritage, it was decided that absolute Legends shall be the team to fill the void in 2a, where a first place grants a ticket to play with the best for big cash prizes.
After four weeks, GosuLeague Division 2a is lead by DreamHack attendees 4FC and 3DMAX. Latter have defeated eVo (now aL's slot) in the third week, which gives them a head start over the currently fourth ranked aL.
Absolute Legends team manager Islam "Samo" El-Kenawy is still confident in the abilities of his squad however, and left us the following message:
“
I've always been quite a fan of GosuLeague and their divisions system, so we have been trying to get a spot and be able to qualify to Division 1. Luckily, following the merge of Fubar and eVo we are now able to play in Division 2a and have a chance at qualifying to main division of GosuLeague”Lineup: absolute Legends Craciunescu 'CWM' Alexandru Florin 'Freezer' Stoica Alaan 'Bamboe' Faraj Brian 'MaNia-' Strandby Adrian 'S0ny' Sebastian | Lineup: Svenhunterz Tobi 'GoAudio' Strand (c) Björn 'Quix-' Granström Felix 'chw' Ehrlund Gustav 'BlueberryNinja' Arnstedt Marcus 'Werne' Werneskog |
