Evil Geniuses claims AverMedia Dota 2 Cup title

The AverMedia Dota 2 Cup just finished, with Evil Geniuses coming out on top. They took first place and $1,500 to go with it. The rather fresh team NoTidehunter finished second.

Eight top teams started out in the single elimination tournament hosted by ROOT-Gaming. The tournament was set out to just last two days. Natus Vincere was originally part of it but got replaced by compLexity, who have been absent in the scene as of late. They eventually fell to Akke's NoTidehunter in the semi finals. NoTidehunter played without star-carry Loda during the second day and in the end lost 2-0 to Evil Genuises who visualized the power of a Magnus with Refresher Orb. EG also used a stand-in for the tournament, with Maelk sitting out for them.
