GD B-Team now Team Zero

An unexptected turn of events marks the renaissance of a supposedly dead team. Former GD B-Team will now operate under the name Zero and is most likely going to participate in the ESWC tournament.

The former mousesports team that participated under the GD B-Team tag during the StarLadder LAN Finals, was heavily rumored to be disbanding. Carry-player Dominik 'Black^' Reitmeier has successfully qualified for the ESWC tournament and the THOR Open with No Tidehunter and Kuroky has been seen playing with a German mix as well.

Having a possible disbandement in mind, the mousesports organization decided not to sponsor the players' trip to Kiev. James '2GD' Harding from the Good Studio however stepped in and sponsored the five players. Kuroky and Co. wanted to pay him back for his trust and eventually placed third, completely unexpected but also very convincingly.

StarLadder was supposed to mark the end of a long journey, but it is the opposite: It's the start of a new one.

Statement by manager Florian 'PaisY' Schmedes:

"TEAM ZERO is born!
What started off with KuroKy standing in for us at The International 2012, now became a team that is willing to continue competing together. During our time in Seattle, the games afterwards and in Kiev at Starladder the friendship enhanced a lot and thus the chemistry within the team. The, so far, good results in the leagues and tournaments we compete in, boosted the motivation even further. The next season of Starladder will be coming up anytime soon. Our plan for now is to participate in the ESWC and perhaps the DreamHack Winter. You will be able to see the new old lineup playing matches this week in the leagues we currently participate in, the D2L and GosuLeague Season 4. Thanks to everyone who kept on supporting this team!"

Statement by captain Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi:

"For now we have decided to keep on playing with this constellation, as there are many tournaments coming up this year; we might not be able to attend all of them due to private obligations, but we do enjoy ourselves for now and try to bring the best dota we personally can to you guys. Thanks for all your support and cheerings!"

As stated above, the team will remain in all leagues in tournaments they initially took part in, such as GosuLeague Season 4. On top of that, they will be looking to participate in the ESWC tournament, in which they will most likely replace No Tidehunter. Black^, a member of the roster that qualified for Paris, is allegedly allowed as a placeholder, enabling Zero to participate at ESWC. However, it is still not for sure whether they will attend.

EternalEnvy, No Tidehunter's captain, has made a statement under joinDota's news article, clearing out what happened to nth and why they gave up their spot for Paris.

Statement by No Tidehunter's captain EternalEnvy:
"I would like to clarify somethings as the captain of team nth.

Two members will no longer be in team nth with Black included. This very difficult decision was made by mostly myself and the other 2 remaining members of nth; Black is not to blame for this roster change.
The new team nth decided not to attend ESWC as we will be lacking practice. The tournament will also be held during the same time as the DH qualifiers. It's not like Black stole the ESWC slot, he asked me and I gave it to him.

The whole situation is extremely complicated, assumptions that are made will probably all be wrong."
