The International 2012 preliminary groups announced

Valve has announced the groups for The International 2012 preliminaries. Two groups of eight will determine upper and lower bracket teams.

The International 2012 preliminaries will have two groups of eight, this was already. Now here they are:

The preliminaries will be played Sunday to Tuesday, 26 August to 28 August. Wednesday and Thursday are rest days. The playoffs will be from Friday, 31 August, to Sunday, 2 September.

In the preliminaries, all teams will face each other twice in the group, making it 14 matches to be played for all teams. No team quits the tournament early, the groups are just to determine the seedings for the playoffs. Top 4 of each group proceed into the upper bracket, lower 4 teams continue in the lower bracket.
