Last week, Europe has started it with announcing the Samsung European Encounter as the European tournament of World Cyber Games. Now Asia follows, with the announcement by eClub Malaysia that the WCG Asian Championship will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
The 3-day event in Malaysia starts with the Malaysian national final on 7 September in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. After that, the pan-Asian tournament will be held on 8 and 9 September at the same location.
Malaysia with invites, Asia with qualifiers
The Malaysian tournament will feature 8 teams, which will be invited to play. The winner will recieve RM3,000 prize money and the ticket to the Asian tournament. There, 13 winners of Asian national finals will be playing, with $3,000 USD in stake for first place.
