GosuGamers staff has safely arrived at BlizzCon and we've seen a few of the first round games! StarCraft has gone through the first round so far and the Koreans (expect Yellow, he is still playing) have all advanced.
The action has been pretty exciting and the players seemed to play rather casually and were very open to us. The matches have been fairly quick and dominated by the Koreans. The Koreans are all here in their uniforms looking very professional and ready to win. Expect more reports from us as the day goes on, along with photos of Entropy, Colbi, and me DJTyrant. Matches are being shown on the big screen with hundreds of people observing. It almost sounds like a professional gaming event.
Also, check out the new newspost about the new World of WarCraft Expansion: The Burning Legion.
The staff here will update you throughout the day with player interviews, pictures, and impressions of the new Expansion and a new version of StarCraft: Ghost where you can now play as Zerg! Impressions coming soon! So stay tuned!
UPDATE: Assem and Yellow are at 1-0 at the moment. They're playing their second match as we speak.
UPDATE 2: Matches are almost done for the day, full brackets are viewable on the BlizzCon website and WaCKSteVeN has been commenting on the games. We are in the third round of the winner's bracket with Yellow and Nada facing each other tommorow. Legionnaire was eliminated in three games by Mondragon. And Assem and Testie are still going at it in the loser's bracket.
Up tommorow is the finals of the loser's and winner's bracket's where we will crown a king of BlizzCon.
UPDATE 3: Mondragon lost in three games to Reach with some really great games. Mondi took game two to send it to the final match but Reach's micro was just too much for him to overcome. Last game of today will be Testie up against Nal_Ra to determine who plays Reach. Updates to come about the match between Testie and Nal_Ra.
UPDATE 4: Testie lost to Nal_Ra and we have a full Korean final. Round 3 of the Winner's Bracket has a classic matchup between Nada and Yellow. And round 3 of the Loser's Bracket features Reach up against Nal_Ra. We'll do our best to update you as the results come in.
Thanks everyone for choosing GosuGamer's as your source for StarCraft and WarCraft updates!
