The first games in the third season of World E-Sports Games was held today. In Korea where the tournament is hosted, Spirit_Moon defeated the Chinese player xiaOt in Group A, while in Group B the Swede ElakeDuck beat the Korean GoStop. The Korean Lucifer beat the WEG Europe winner DIDI8 in Group C. Next matches will take place on October 28th.
The World E-Sports Games Season 3 have officially started. Today, the first three matches were played, one in each group. The names in the tournament are hardly unknown, as they contain the very best of the world. And the first playday gave some very nice games, where six players wanted the best possible start on this long tournament that lasts for seven weeks.

Spirit_Moon beats xiaOt
One of the most expected players to win this tournament is the dual WEG champion Spirit_Moon, the fierce Night Elf from Korea. In every tournament he takes part in, he is one of the head characters. In the first opening match went up against the Chinese Orc player wNv.xiaOt. xiaOt, being one of China's most known players together with WE.Tiger. xiaOt played in WEG Season 2, but did not reach very high. The first match ended in a victory for Spirit_Moon on the map BloodHoof.

ElakeDuck takes the lead in Group B
In Group B, the Swedish Orc player SK.ElakeDuck played against the Undead Korean player mouz.GoStop on the map Turtle Rock. Many thought that the win would go to GoStop, although ElakeDuck showed proof of his Bloodlust strength and took home the first win and thereby is in the lead in Group B.

Sweet takes down Lucifer
And lost but not least, we have the two Koreans Sweet and Lucifer, both players Undead playing on the map Maelstrom. The first match resulted in a win for Sweet, member of the clan World Elite. Lucifer will have to lick his wounds and then come back in Playday 2.
