Zacard and Wizard to BlizzCon

Blizzard has just announced their two first progamers to play in the BlizzCon tournament! Starting with WarCraft 3, they announced one Korean and an American: Zacard and Wizard. They have been given the seeds, #2 and #8!

Yesterday, Blizzard announced the launching of the BlizzCon Invitational Tournament participants, that each weekday they were to announce two players, along with the seedings to determine who they are to face in the tournament on October 28th to 29th. In their » participating player section, the total 16 players (8 in each game) will be announced.

One of the invited players are none other than the Korean Orc player SK.Zacard (picture), member of Schroet Kommando. His biggest achievement in international standards are by far his World Cyber Games 2004 silver medal after losing to Grubby in the Grand Final. He also raised a couple of eyebrows when moving to Germany from Korea to take part in international tournaments instead of the Korean ones. He is seeded #2, and is surely a player to see as the favourite to win the BlizzCon Invitational WarCraft 3 tournament.

What would a tournament be without a homefield player? verGe.Wizard (picture) is one of United States' finest Night Elf players, and showed his strength in the latest » CPL Summer tournament by ending on 5th place. Blizzard has invited this player to the event on an 8th-seed spot.
