WEG have today released new information about the upcoming European qualification in Stockholm. Rumors claims that Ownage already was chosen as location for the qualifier, but now WEG seems to have made a surprising turn and decided that the qualifier will be held at the newly renovated Southpoint in southern Stockholm.

The circumstances behind this change are not-known at the moment. Southpoint is a newly renovated internetcafé, located in the southern part of the Swedish capital Sweden Stockholm. The head admin of WEG Europe, Germany Malte Wagener says this about their cooperation with Southpoint:
"We’re very excited to have found such an enthusiastic partner for our event and thrilled to present a location that was built by gamers for gamers. We’re sure that all players will appreciate the effort the crew at the café have put into the setup”.
The European qualifier will be arranged 24-25th of September and will have 12 WarCraft III players fighting for three spots to Season III of World E-Sports Games in Korea Korea. The season will be played from October 9 trough December 4 with leagues in Counter-Strike and Warcraft III. The total prize purse is $140 000.

The players that have received an invitation and will participate will be revealed on Sunday, but our source tells us that the United Kingdom Four King's players will not participate, which means that some the best player in Europe, including Netherlands 4K.Grubby and Sweden 4K.FuRy will not be attending. But more satisfying news is that this qualifier event will be the real comeback for one of the most successful WarCraft III-players. Who it is? You will se on Sunday!
