Over at TeamFighting.com, we are currently setting up our newest TFTour tournament system that may interest a few teams who are currently seeking free hosting for their website at this current time.
As many of you do not know, Team [FiGhT] is a new sponsored team in the Brood War scene. We are NOT a team that is currently paying our roster members any sort of salary, nor do we have intentions of doing so as of this current moment.
Our current sponsor, ForgeHosting.com has offered to the Brood War gaming community teams a chance at winning a free three months supported hosting package through their company. We would like to personally thank Andrew Gai (sponsor representative) for bringing this prize to some of the teams who might be looking for a much more solid host to call their website home. We will be taking applications from 16 teams, each team will select ONE representative from their team to represent them. The event will be group style with best out of 3 matches in the group stages.
Registrations closing at Friday
Team leaders; to have your team register for this event, please send your teams qualifications and your representative choice to [FiGhT]GuiLd as soon as possible. (See contact information further down.) Deadlines for registration will be September 2nd at midnight (USA Central Time). The most qualified team with be placed based on their players performance and league standings.
The final tournament will consist of a Best of 3 format, with the grand final being best out of 5. The date for this event has not been set as of yet, we are currently looking for the best date to work where are as few events going on as possible to avoid conflicts so everybody has an equal chance.
Even if your team is not interested in hosting from » ForgeHosting.com, we would still like for you to register to participate. If the winning representative chooses not to accept the hosting from our sponsor, it will be passed down to the runner up, etc.
Further details will be included on our team website at » TeamFighting.com as they come in and become readily available. We hope to see a great turnout for this event! All replays will be saved for the public as well!
Cash prizes in the future
Being that this is our first tournament, we are sorry but there are no cash prizes this time around. Depending upon how well this event is run and the reaction from our sponsor, we will most likely be offering cash prizes of up to $100 per tournament, schedualed monthly! Be sure to keep an eye out for future news!
