I’ve been struggling with myself about posting this or not. It’s been almost a month since I posted on LAS forums and, until today, no one had answered me or contacted me.
I want to tell everyone about some wrong things that are happening on our “beloved” server here on LAS.
This post will contain 2 topics:
• The formal claim I did on our governmental office called “SERNAC” (Consumer`s national service) due misleading advertising against RIOT GAMES.
• The inexistence of communication between riot and users in LAS server
I’m aN esports fan since 2013 and my favorite team from our region is KAOS LATIN GAMERS (KLG). I’ve supported my team almost on every showmatch they have played with massive public (5 in total). The last September 15, KLG and INF(LAS and LAN) played a showmatch on the MOVISTAR ARENA, a big theater placed in SANTIAGO DE CHILE.
A month ago, Riot Maggical made a post ( https://las.lolesports.com/noticias/obten-twisted-fate-pulso-de-fuego-en-la-finalmovistar-110820 ) claiming that, if you went early to the MOVISTAR ARENA, you were going to be able to take a photo with the teams KLG and INF.
I have to mention that in all the event were only 2 things to do before the showmatch:
Photo opportunity: tanto en la Zona Movistar como en diferentes sectores del Movistar Arena, podrás tomarte fotos con tus campeones favoritos, así como también con influenciadores y cosplayers.
In other words, you can take pictures with cosplayers and influencers (youtubers and streamers).
Conoce a los jugadores profesionales: desde las 12:30 del mediodía los jugadores de ambos equipos se tomarán fotos con los fans durante 30 minutos. ¡Hay tiempo limitado así que ponte en fila desde temprano!
Here is where all problems started. Me and my girlfriend (a fan of KLG too) woke up at 5am, took a bus at 6am and arrived at MOVISTAR ARENA at 8:00am. As the information above says, if you were first on the line, you had the opportunity to take a photo with the teams. We were one of the few first people in line, we waited until 12:00pm to enter the arena and no one, I swear, NO ONE of the RIOT staff knew nothing about this. We waited until nearly 13:00pm and the teams appears on a mini stage, answered some questions and said goodbye. That was it, almost 5 hours and no photos.
We knew that was wrong and we tried to pass that sad experience of waiting hours for nothing doing other stuff inside the arena… but there was nothing to do!!
That’s was all you can do until they decide to let you in on the theater around 3:00pm
The cold was unbearable, people walking from one side to another, sad faces all over the place… we knew that this event will be one of the worst we have been in years. In the past years RIOT put games, activities with prizes, you know, fun stuff to do while you wait for the showmatch. Seems this year RIOT LAS was short of money, even when the tickets almost doubled its price.
I don’t want to talk about what happened inside the theater because it’s even sadder. The sound was awful, the director showed the judges faces and not the cosplays, the lights of the stage were on the people faces and we have to yell BUUUUU until they turn it off during games.
Another thing that went very, very wrong was the fan bag. If you bought a ticket, you had the right to get a TWISTED FATE skin. What went wrong? Well, there were 2 entrances, one for the people who arrives by foot, and other entrance for cars and people who arrives on bus. Only the people who entered by the principal entrance got their skin. The other people who got their thickets cut on the car parking place, didn’t received their skin and, when they went to the principal entrance to claim the skins, thwy said that they were “liars” and refuse to deliver the skins.
With all this sad experience we felt that RIOT GAMES make this event only for money and not for the fans.
We felt that they promised something (our long waited photo with the teams) and the only thing we got was a cold and 4 days in bed missing our independence parties here in Chile.
That’s why we made a formal complaint (with other people who felt they were scammed) on our governmental office called “SERNAC” (Consumer’s national service) due misleading advertising against RIOT GAMES.
With this letter SERNAC have noticed RIOT GAMES they were sued and they have 18 days to give us a response.

As you can see just clicking this link https://boards.las.leagueoflegends.com/es/redtracker there is almost no rioters here on LAS. Only 2 as far as I know and their activity on the last month is almost 1 post every 10 days.
the moderation of the forum is arbitrary, the moderators do a terrible job and respond badly to the community because they do not have any supervision of riot (since we do not have community rioters)
We only can dream with a forum like NA with rioters reading our post and have a little of REAL INTERACTIONwith the players.
EDIT: to clarify, the servers are geographically different but the offices of LAN and LAS are merged, that's why we no longer have community rioters, we only have maintenance staff & player support but nobody responds to the community
