iPoker Network Lowers Rake At All Fixed Limit Games

The iPoker Network, the largest online poker network of sites in the world, announced this week that they were reducing the rake they charge for all fixed limit tables. The rake, the fee they charge per hand to play, will be reduced both in the percentage taken from the pot and the capped amount of rake that can be taken per hand.

The change affects all the sites on the network, including BetMostPoker that Gosugamers.net has worked with on several occasions to host freerolls and promotions.

The rake reduction will effectively be reduced from 5% to 4% for stakes up to $20/40. At higher limit levels the reduction will be even more significant. The $1 cap will remain at small and mid-stakes, but at the micro-stakes it will be reduced further. The overall $5 rake cap at the high stakes has been reduced to $4.

iPoker is strategically shifting their rake levels to suit the competitive European rake landscape. The iPoker network has been in a long standing battle with PartyPoker to be the second largest poker site and with Party Poker announcing their latest double points promotion in fixed-limit games in October, iPoker was ready to step up and take the lead again.
