WCReplays presents epic 24-hour shoutcast

Tomorrow, Saturday, the WCReplays shoutcasting staff will hold a 24-hour shoutcast. The cast will not only focus on the pro-gaming scene, but will also provide opportunity for a regular gamer to get a game casted.

The popular WarCraft III community and replay site WCReplays.com are famous for their shoutcast coverage of the scene. Tomorrow, they will be casting around the clock from 00:01 AM GMT until Sunday 00:01 AM GMT. 7 WCReplays shoutcasters will keep all you WarCraft III fans out there entertained for 24 hours.

As the cast will mostly focus on the community, rather than the pro-gaming scene, regular gamers might be given the chance to play while getting their game casted by the WCR staff. Everyone interested in taking part in the fun are advised to meet up in channel Clan WCR @ Azeroth.

GosuGamers caught up with the WCReplays caster RakkauS to discuss tomorrow's cast.

By doing this 24-hour shoutcast, what do you wish to achieve?

RakkauS: The main reason for doing this is the same as for any other membercast: simply for the WarCraft community to have fun. After all, normal casts only deal with professional games, but for a standard WarCraft player it can be a lot more exciting to have a cast on one of his very own games! Of course, the extreme length of this particular cast not only makes it possible for everyone to get a chance to play.

What topics will be discussed during your casts? What will be going on?

RakkauS: That totally depends on the caster. Some of us stick to the game and commentate it very seriously, but as it's not a cast for a professional game, most of us also like to talk about WarCraft in general or even other topics altogether at times. Actually, when the latter happens is usually when a cast gets really fun...

As for the games that will be played, we do a bit of everything, depending on what the players want and the general atmosphere in the channel. There are quite a few solo games of course, but also lots of team or free for all games, and even the odd fun map.

So, if you're up for a fun day of WarCraft III, don't forget to tune in on the WCReplays shoutcast during the day. Visit their website by following the link at the bottom.
