Grumpy talks about esG

After the previous announcement that microGaming has officially been renamed E-Sports Gaming, dota.by conducted an interview of esG.Grumpy from the proud Balkan Clan on DotA, his opinion on other teams and so much more.

Hi :). Introduce yourself, please.
Hey there. My name is Andrey "Grumpy" Lukarov. I'm currently playing for team esG (E-Sport Gaming - ex microGaming) which consists a total of 5 player: me, DemoN, Hello, SavAin3D and last but not least the king of the torrents - Legendary

Tell about yourself (where you study, work, about your hobbies).
I've just graduated from high-school and I'm planing to continue my studies in university. As for hobbies - I like long walks on the beach during sunset and talking about life ... naaah just kidding. Although it's kinda fun talking about life in certant situations if you know what i mean. Now for serious I like playing dota (obviously), besides that I usually go out for some streetball with friends or just to hang out.

How long time you play to DotA? What your role in team?
I've been playing DotA for 5-6 years. Hello introduced me to the game. I was familiar with wc3 at that time so I could handle the basics in DotA. Despite that my first game was so boring that I promised myself I would never play it again. Look where this promise got me :D Since then I've tried all the roles until one day I've decided to stick with support/gank which I'm currently playing in esG.

You play on leagues?
Not that much, actually the only non-clanwar games I play are mostly in RGC.

What relations with other players of the team? Tell about a role of each player, in what pluses of everyone.
For a team to work well there have to be some kind of bond between the players. In other words teams built up without friendship or at least mutual understanding are doomed to fail. All I'm saying is we, in esG, are one big happy family xx.

- The captain slot is taken by the mastermind behind our team - Aleksandar "DemoN" Yanev ("wtf MYM|DemoN is playing for esG now!?" i know... i know). This guy is one of the most patient and calm people I know. Despite the amount of whine I can generate and the usual unfair blame we throw at him when we have a bad day, he keeps on doing his very best (which is quite good!) in the name of the team. Most of the time he plays the solo lane carry/initiator.
- Ivelin "Hello" Staikov - our second solo laner, a newly recruited member of the team and an old-time friend of mine. When we were younger we used to spend half of our mornings before school in the PC club playing DotA, stomping noobs and joking around. There aren't many players who can be said to play smartDota but he's one of them.
- Sava "SavAin3D' Barbarov - the team talisman and also a great support/gank player. He compensates his young age with a lot of talking and I will be happy to tell you a short story so you can get the idea of how spamy he can be. We were playing clan wars while talking on TS and I could have sworn at that time something wasn't quite right. It was twice as less noisy than usual and it didn't take us too long to realise that Sava's mic wasn't working. Joke aside, he's great company and a real crowd favourite.
- Iliya "Legendary" Lilov (also known as Valio) is our tri-lane carry. Keeping a straight face while he's talking is next to imposible and even if you manage to do so his infectious laughter will finish what the jokes couldn't. He brings big part of the atmosphere in the team. When he's on top of his game the victory is guaranteed if not, there's always a good thought excuse on the line. As I mentioned above his kunkka skills (torrent in particular) are legendary. This is also where his nickname came from.

What event you plan visit?
For now we'll stick to online tournament and if some LAN pops out nearby we'd be happy to participate.

What your personal top3?
If by top3 you mean top3 teams, I'd put them in this order:
1. MYM (big fan of them from the beginning), 2. Na'Vi, 3. GG.net

Recently there was a scandal with team FM - them accused in MH. On whose party you in this dispute?
Well it doesn't really matter, after all the decision of them being disqualified was already taken. Just want to adress all the fans and haters who blindly believe in their own truth ... it's kinda annoying! Support your opinion with some evidence or su...

Recently there was a new fix of heroes, how it in your opinion?
Reasonable nerfing for Sylla and Lycan imho. Although the bear nerf seems kind of small and while Lycan would be seen less and less often I don't see why Sylla wouldn't be in the pick pool as frequent as before.

Recently it is possible to find in a network more and more "casual" details about DOTA 2. What are you looking forward to?
The whole Dota2 as a stand alone game sounds exciting but most of all I'm looking forward to seeing the gameplay itself, if Valve had success
in keeping it as it is now in warcraft3 dota.

DotA have some "clones" - LoL, HoN, RoT. What analog DotA is pleasant to you most of all and why? Whether you play in these games?
Have never tried any of those games and I don't think I ever will.

That's everything. :) You may greet your friends.
Thanks for interviewing me :) I'd like to make a shoutout to all the people who support us and to all of those who doesn't. You both keep us
motivated in a way. Shoutout to rubara and his project which we represent right now (pls check out our site: http://www.esport-gamingbg.com/) My last shoutout goes to my mates for being as awesome as they are (that sounded cheesy :D) Cya
