Senegalese Derwiche Wins Wild WPT High Roller Event

Senegalese Imad Derwiche emerged victorious in the wild final table of the WPT Paris High Roller event. The €10,000 High Roller event didn't have any big poker names at the final table and the players endured a long and rollercoaster type final table before Derwiche won the title and €125,000 at the Aviation Club De Paris.

Coming into the final table, there were eight players, but only four would make the cash.

Ludavic Lacay, the only proven player at the table, but but lost every pot where he had the dominant hand.

Firas Nassar was thrilled to finish in third, allowing his stack to dwindle to four blinds at one point before doubling four times and then losing to a miracle river card. He had qualified online and desperately wanted to make the money, eventually turning a $7 investment into a €46,000 profit!

The fifteen hour long final table had many swings, but once Nassar went out in third, heads up was only one hand with Sayah Bouali's 3,6 off being beaten by Imad Derwiche's K,5 suited.
